FOR EVERY JOB, LOOK AT 4 THINGS:

1. PROFIT PER CREW-HOUR

Net Profit ÷ Total Crew-Hours

2. TRAVEL & EFFICIENCY

Group jobs by area. Minimize driving, dumping and downtime.

3. CREW & TRUCK AVAILABILITY

Use the right-size crew and truck for the job.

4. CUSTOMER PAYMENT HISTORY

A profitable job is not truly profitable if you cannot collect the money.

—

CUSTOMER PAYMENT PRIORITY

🟢 GOOD PAYER

Pays on time.

HIGH PRIORITY

—

🟡 SLOW PAYER

Gives regular business but is behind on payments.

MEDIUM PRIORITY

Continue working only if the account is controlled and they are actively paying down the old balance.

—

🔴 SERIOUSLY PAST DUE

Keeps giving new jobs but the old balance keeps increasing.

LOW PRIORITY / CREDIT HOLD

Do not keep using crews, trucks, fuel and dump fees to increase an unpaid balance.

—

DAILY DECISION FORMULA

PROFITABILITY

+ COLLECTION HISTORY

+ LOCATION / ROUTE

+ CREW AVAILABILITY

+ TRUCK CAPACITY

= JOB PRIORITY

—

IMPORTANT:

A $3,000 JOB FROM A CUSTOMER WHO PAYS IN 90 DAYS MAY BE WORSE THAN A $2,000 JOB FROM SOMEONE WHO PAYS IMMEDIATELY.

DON’T JUST MANAGE JOBS.

MANAGE PROFIT, CREW TIME, AND CASH COLLECTION TOGETHER.
